CRM 2011 can now enable to determine authorizations not only in the record level but also “Field Level”. This means that you are determining if a user provides the permission for it attribute during the time of Create or Update or just see the data to the attribute.
Presently, this feature is just available for the custom attributes that you actually develop. They are not designed for the system characteristics. Once you generate a new attribute you are enable “Field Level Security” to the attribute.
Once the attribute has been defined for Field Security, it becomes available for defining the security levels for different roles.
